Vision and Mission

1. Vision
A sustainable, clean, and people-centric village.
- Clean Kerala: The main goal is to make waste management timely and flawless. For this, they have implemented the Haritha Mithram app, Haritha Karma Sena, and QR code-based waste collection.
- Use of Technology: A system has been set up with the help of KELTROn to digitally monitor activities from the state level down to the ward level.

2. Mission
To improve the standard of living by meeting people’s basic needs. According to the 2020-21 budget, priority areas are:
- Housing: ₹1.2 crore allocated to ensure housing for all beneficiaries under the LIFE housing scheme.
- Agriculture: ₹80 lakh allocated for the agriculture sector to make the panchayat fallow-land free.
- Drinking Water: ₹75 lakh allocated for small-scale drinking water projects.
- Health and Welfare: Evening OP facility at the PHC, development of Ayurveda and Homeo hospitals, anganwadi, women’s welfare, welfare of persons with disabilities, and senior citizens.
- Sanitation: ₹20 lakh set aside for waste management.
- Disaster Management and Food Security: Funds allocated to provide lunch at ₹25 to the public through Kudumbashree canteens.

In short, sanitation, housing, drinking water, agriculture, and health are the main focus areas of Kadangode Panchayat.
